    Calvin believes court records must be accessible to the public, accurate to the letter, and easy to navigate—whether you're a defense attorney, a crime victim, a journalist, or someone representing yourself.

    The Clerk is New Orleans’ chief elections officer—Calvin is committed to ensuring the most transparent, secure, and inclusive democracy.

    • Ensure all judicial elections are administered with fairness and integrity

    • Provide accessible election information and deadlines

    • Expand voter education around criminal justice-related ballot items

    • Actively engage returning citizens in voter registration efforts

  • 3. Carefully Handling and Cataloging Case Evidence

    Mishandled evidence can lead to wrongful convictions or failed prosecutions. Calvin will prioritize proper evidence handling with precision and care.

Calvin Duncan knows firsthand how people can fall through the cracks of the justice system. As Clerk, he’ll work collaboratively with judges, the District Attorney, NOPD, and others across the city to close those gaps—ensuring the office operates with integrity, transparency, and the belief that everyone deserves fairness under the law.
