Online Registration Deadline is Sept. 20th
You can register to vote with the Secretary of State online, through the button below. You will need a drivers license or state ID.
If you lack a license or ID, please go to the Registrars Office at City Hall by Sept. 10th.
You can also update your address, which is important so you don’t get taken off the voter roll.
A “current order of imprisonment” applies to people who are out on parole. If this is you, and you check “yes,” it takes you to a second question: “Have you been incarcerated in the past five years” on this order of imprisonment. If you have been on parole for over 5 years, and check “no,” you will be allowed to register and vote.
The State’s website does a terrible job instructing people on who can vote and how to register. The Orleans Registrar and Clerk websites are also lacking information. Clerk Calvin Duncan’s Office will become the most informative entity in the state, and work to ensure all people are actively encouraged to vote.
